Well what can you do? your a team from Orange County, and you’ve won the the Cup just one year ago, playing against a Canadian team, and Canada hasn’t won a cup in over 10 years. Think theres going to be creative officiating? You betcha! In fact a crucial goal in the last minutes of the 3rd period was taken away from the Ducks…and even after coming back with 2 goals, the Ducks took 9 penalties and fell short by one goal. The goal that was waved off. So in the end, the Canucks are able to avenge their playoff lose to us a year back and beat us on home ice. On to the next game….which will be against Calgary. Positive notes about tonight? Hiller is becoming a great goalie; Bobby Ryan was a monster all over the place; Kunitz and Getz were huge; and Scotty is a jedi master!

tonight was a bitter sweet victory for the Ducks! first off they were able to pull off a rare W in an arena that usually is not kind to them. only 3 times out of 17 have the Ducks been able to win there. Hiller stood on his head to make sure the Ducks got the 2 points not only tieing a franchise record 51 shots on goals but also shutting out Edmonton in the shoot out! there was a scary moment when teemu sliced his leg with his own skate though that has me worried! we wont know until monday whats what but so far Carlyle says its no where near as bad as Cory Perry’s last year. we shall see! more later!

In a sad display of more tunrovers than a mcdonalds drive thru, the ducks gave it up to the rangers tonight after battling it out evenly and at times over poweringly. Ducks gave up a crucial turnover and Hiller let one trickle into the net giving the NY’s a win.

Tonight was the first time in a long time that the Ducks and Wild squared off at the Honda Center since they have that pre-game fight during warm ups! It was interesting for sure!! First off after the sad loss to the Guppies the other night, the Ducks looked much better and rested. They took it to the wild and made them pay for what happened up north! It was good to see Morrison and Bobby Ryan scoring goals, as well as the usual suspects! In the end the Ducks won the game and now need to continue their march against the New Yorkers on Tuesday!

the ducks just could not get it together, or through for that matter. Naby and the guppies ran a tight ship preventing the ducks from scoring anything that resembled a puck. Sigh; i hate to think that this series is going to have to be decided in the playoffs somehow. if that were to happen…..i dont know exactly what to expect.

The ducks did what they should have done, and that is beat The blue jackets. Even with a commanding the Bj’s were able to mount an offense towards the end and score twice. Neidermeyers (rob) goal won it for the ducks and it added a 5th security goal. I dont like the fact that even with a commanding lead, the ducks still manage to allow the other team to make things close at the very end. (sigh) oh well, a win is a win no matter how pretty or ugly it might be.

Nuff said. The ducks blow a 3rd period lead, and lose the Chi town in a game where Scotty and Hiller were the stars of the game in my book. And whats with Ryan being benched? SOmethings up in Anaheim…..hmmmm, more later.

had class tonight so didnt see the game, but nothing much to say. ducks gave up alot of shots, and lose a close one 2-1. Jiggy kept us in the game as long as he could, and a cold Hiller gave up the go ahead goal. Sigh, you cant win them all.

the Ducks beat the canes tonight 4-1 in a road game that had to be won. the great thing about this game is that Hiller was in net again and continues to thrive as our number 2 goalie! Jiggy was back with the team, but have no fear, Hiller is a thriller!! The game was tied 1-1 going into the 3rd peroid when the Ducks exploded with 3 more goals finally thrashing the canes toa 4-1 finale. keep it up boys; tomorrow night we face the Wings!! Anytime we can play the wings and good things happen, i get happy. so lets go ducks, and keep it up!!! GO DUCKS!!!
