the Ducks beat the canes tonight 4-1 in a road game that had to be won. the great thing about this game is that Hiller was in net again and continues to thrive as our number 2 goalie! Jiggy was back with the team, but have no fear, Hiller is a thriller!! The game was tied 1-1 going into the 3rd peroid when the Ducks exploded with 3 more goals finally thrashing the canes toa 4-1 finale. keep it up boys; tomorrow night we face the Wings!! Anytime we can play the wings and good things happen, i get happy. so lets go ducks, and keep it up!!! GO DUCKS!!!

the Ducks took on the Patrick Kane and the Blackhawks tonight a day after thanksgiving! it was a solid back and forth game that at times the ducks dominated. All in all we get two points and Hiller looked insane tonight! he made a few saves that were worthy of a highlight reel! I liked the way Bobby Ryan and the twins are feeding off one another. It defintley looks like the more Ryan plays with these kids, the better the team gets….so lets keep on hoping!! Go Ducks!!!!!

Well it was bad enough I had to sit in class last night and miss my first Ducks game of the year; but apparently it was a very good Ducks game to boot! Hey I always say, if it helps the teams wins i’ll leave early, switch seats, miss the game, whatever…..just so the team can get 2 points! So the Ducks get a win before the holiday and that is all that counts right now. Teamu has settled in nicely as a power play threat getting 2 PP goals tonight. Bobby Ryan……well, lets just say I told you so! Keep it up boys!! Happy Turkey day to all and I’ll be at the black friday game against the HAWKS!!

well in an event so rare that we must cherish all season long, the Ducks beat the Stars in a shoot out! that’s right! you heard me correct, we actually beat the Stars! although its a huge victory on the road for the team, its an even bigger victory just because the stars always kick our ass when we play them. Could it be we won because Brendon Morrison is out for the year? Hell yes! and who cares! the fact of the matter is that we beat the stars and that enough to be happy for. so we’ve picked up 2 points out of 4 on the road. i cant complain right now because putting together a winning streak is rare for this team, so ill take it! we just need to get our act together and gel a little more to put up some nice numbers. the west is tightening up again, and soon there will be a log jam; we need to distance ourselves from our Western counterparts and last night was a step in the right direction.

well folks i dont know what to say. i started this blog so i could track a triumphant return to championship form. instead i feel like i am documenting the blair witch project! We lose to a crippled Blues team, and its our second loss in a row, or is it three? Anyhow, i dont know whats wrong with our boys? There seems to be something blocking the pipes so to speak. something is holding us back from exploding. Is it too much expectations? maybe too much talent? maybe everyone is looking for the next guy to pick up the slack? whatever it is we need to get in gear cause if not, its going to be a long season.

well tonight began the post-beacheman era! it was the first game back after finding out that defensman #23 was out for the season and in comes a bright sand shiny #54, bobby ryan! it was a good game and the boys looked sharp! the Queens had their moments, but the boys stood strong and Ryan was all over the plays. he was a pest….just what we needed. he almost looks like another perry! anyhow the good guys win 2-0 and Hiller gets his first shut out! more of the same boys…..lets keep it up!!!!!!

wow. it seems we just cant get a break! first off all of orange county is on fire today! Yorba linda, Brea, Anaheim Hills, Corona, you name it!! its the biggest fire to ever hit the OC in a long time! Lots of destruction and devastation!! Lets hope the fire dept gets it under control tonight!!
secondly, the bad news….Frankie Beauch is out! 6 months for a torn ligament!
thirdly….festerling gets called up along with Bobby Ryan. Well as they say “be careful what you wish for”. Its as if the hockey gods said you want bobby? there you have him, now what are you going to do?
thats exactly right. we lose frankie and his wicked shot and hip check, so now hopefully something good comes from this. we shall see Duck fans. its turning out to be a challenging season indeed.

Not much to report here. Ducks lose in OT to a mediocre Panther team. We tied up the game twice to force OT, but then lost it with a bad turn over in our offensive zone. (sigh). I spent most of the game watching Burke up in the GM box with Bob Murry next to him. Bob never sat down once the entire game. Burke must have been taking phone calls for job interview the entire time cause i never could see him from behind, the side partiton. Anyways….heres hoping the Ducks turn things around and heres to you Burkie…thanks for the memories!

I dont know what to say. We made Florida’s goalie look like an all star tonight. Nothing was getting in the net. To say we had opportunities is an understatement. I think in order for us to make the playoffs and go all the way again, we need Mats Sundin. We need goals. For some reason, we’re dominant for weeks then just like that we hit a drought. I dont know what to say other than tonights game was miserable. I hope Carlyle figures something out quickly.

Well its been 6 months since we played the stars in the playoffs and were elliminated and the wounds haven not healed. Well tonight, they were ripped wide open once again. The ducks have been steam rolling opponents as of late so i totally expected to see the match up we should have had in last seasons playsoffs. No chance. Same ducks, same stars, same outcome. we lose 5-2, and still can not beat the stars. Its like they have a voodoo curse on us. I dont know what to think right now, except that if we continue this weak play everytime we play the stars this will soon be a familair scene every playoffs. The Stars are to us what the boston redsox are to the angels and I we saw how that played out last month. Sickening.
